The solar snake repellers are silent and operation is indicated by a red LED light located on the apex of the solar head. This will flash about every 3 minutes.

The battery powered snake repeller use two methods, An LED located on the top of the inside battery sleeve will flash about every 1 ½ minutes and s visible through the translucent tube cap. Plus it also produces an audible signal on a ratio of 9 to 1 of the inbuilt silent motor.

Solar snake repellers are ideal in sunny, open and lightly treed areas where they can receive a minimum of 6 hours of exposure to direct sunlight to ensure they remain fully charged. Less charge time can affect the longevity of the Lithium battery as the charge set point can be too low.

Because battery powered snake repellers are not dependent on external charging, can be ideal in all situations, making them very versatile to place in shaded areas, inside animal enclosures, aviaries, poultry pens, dirt floor sheds etc.

The solar powered repellers are ideal in open cleared areas, lawns, and in low profile gardens.

Battery powered snake repellers are best in shaded areas, in garden beds including shrubs or tall plants, sheds, kennels, aviaries, poultry sheds, stables scrubby areas etc.

Up to 40 meters apart in firm open ground with few or no obstructions, we do however recommend keeping the distances closer to allow for hidden large objects, driveways, paths, foundations etc. remembering that the vibrations will not penetrate through solid object more 100mm deep into the ground.
